We know that all “natural" products are not created equal!
Here are just a few of the "naturally" promoted ingredients you won't find in The BARE Co products.
❌ POLYVINYL ALCOHOL (USED IN LAUNDRY STRIPS)
Studies show 75% of PVA is untreated, leaving residue in our waterways.
❌ CHEMICAL SURFACTANTS (USED IN MANY MULTIPURPOSE CLEANERS)
Often promoted as naturally derived, chemical surfactants are highly processed chemicals. Studies show chemical surfactants (like sodium laurel sulfate an cocamidopropyl bentaine) can cause skin irritation, allergies, or other side effects.
❌ FRAGRANCE
Fragrances are processed chemicals that can contain phlalates. Studies show phlalates are endocrine disruptors and can cause developmental, reproductive, and other health issues.
When faced with a choice, they use the least processed form of ingredient possible.
For example, for scent, they use essential oil rather than fragrance. And, they hand make their own liquid castile soap rather than use chemical surfactants. They want buying our cleaners to be like buying nutritious whole foods. Better for you!
